“Not bad for an old man”

The first UFC double champ was a badass.

Randy Couture is a legend of legends in the sport of MMA.

He made his UFC debut at UFC 13 in 1997 and would earn 3 straight finishes before defeating Maurice Smith to become the UFC heavyweight champion at UFC Ultimate Japan.

And after defeating notable names like Kevin Randleman and Pedro Rizzo, Couture would fight and finish Chuck Lidell to become the interim lightheavyweight champion at UFC 43.

The first interim title btw.

A few months later, he would dominate, champion Tito Ortiz to unify the belts and become the first fighter to earn undisputed UFC titles in 2 weight classes.

He would continue his career at light heavyweight, completing his rubber match with Vitor Belfort, finishing Mike Van Arsedale, and getting finished by Chuck Lidell twice, the latter of which caused him to retire at UFC 57.

But then he would come out of retirement to fight Tim Sylvia at heavyweight, dominate and finish him, to regain the heavyweight championship and live as a legend forever.
