Ray Cooper III is back on top of the Welterweight division. The 2021 PFL Season saw Ray finish his training camp for his first bout alone after his team tested positive for COVID, in his 2nd regular season bout Ray missed weight and faced an automatic loss to Nikolai Aleksakhin as per PFL rules, Ray then faced PFL's highest-profile signing Rory MacDonald, and in the finals, Ray Cooper III handed Magomed Magomedkerimov his first loss inside the PFL SmartCage to claim the Welterweight strap and the $1 million check.
